ARA membership is open to anyone.

Student Membership
Please note: Our student membership is for archive courses accredited by ARA which includes the following universities, please click on the links below to see the courses included in this offer.
The following courses are not accredited by ARA but we do offer student membership for these two courses.
All other courses require Affiliate membership.
Student membership is open to all those studying ARA-accredited courses. It is a demonstration of your commitment to the record-keeping profession and a great addition to your CV. It shows a level of commitment early on in your career, particularly if you are involved in the section for new professionals or any of the ARA’s activities.
Individual Membership
Individual membership is open to all those who work, or are qualified to work, in the archives, archive conservation and records management sector in the UK and Ireland. It provides access to a range of ARA member benefits, and enables you to engage in all ARA activities. More importantly, Individual Membership enables you to enrol onto our professional development programme and work towards professional registration at the Foundation, Registered or Fellow levels.
International Membership
International membership is a sub-category of individual membership. International membership is open to all who work in archives, archive conservation and records management outside the UK and Ireland. It provides access to an array of ARA member benefits, and enables you to engage in ARA activities.
Affiliate Membership
Affiliate Membership is open to anyone with an interest in archives, archive conservation and records management. Affiliate membership is also open to students studying related subjects that are not accredited by the ARA.
Corporate Membership
Institutional Affiliate Membership
The institutional affiliate membership category delivers all of the benefits of individual membership to organisations except it does not include participation in professional development.
Institutional affiliate members enjoy discounted rates for commercial advertising in all of the Association's publications as well as discounted rates for exhibiting products and services at the Association Annual Conference.
Supporter Membership
For friends of archives, local history and campaign groups. Any such group must have a membership of at least ten people, an established oversight committee of at least two people that records its activities, and credible articles of association, and be based in either the UK or Republic of Ireland.
Not for Profit Corporate Membership
Not for Profit organisations turning over less than £30,000 a year (or Euro equivalent) (not including grants or project funds) are eligible to join this category of membership.

Payments can be made in pounds sterling or euros.
