Can you help the National Surveys Group?

A message from Lisa Snook, Chair of the ARA National Surveys Group:

Every year the ARA National Surveys Group runs a survey of users of archive services in UK & Ireland, alternating between the Visitor Survey and the Survey of Distance Users.   The planned Visitor Survey did not take place in 2020 due to Coronavirus, which closed a number of our archive services or saw them open on a restricted basis.

2022 Visitor Survey Pilot

The 2022 visitor survey will be taking place,  the Group have taken the opportunity to revise a number of the questions and we are now seeking services willing to undertake a pilot to test the changes before launching the survey in the Autumn.    We need about 20 services to take part, to gain responses from 400 visitors over a three week period.  The pilot will take place during  May 2022.

Take Part

Ideally we would like a good range of services from across our nations, and a mix of local authority, university, specialist and business archives.  If you would be interested in taking part in the pilot, or would like to find out more, please contact Lisa Snook at lisa.snook@archives.org.uk or Jonathan Gordon at jon.gordon@cipfa.org by 25th April 2022.
