Security Review Guidance Survey

As a part of this review of security guidance we would like to hear from the ARA membership and others working in the archives sector in the UK and Ireland.

Can we request that you follow the below link and take part in this important survey by Friday 21st July

You can access the survey here.

Your support will help direct areas of the guidance review that are important to you.

Further information:

The Archives and Records Association (ARA) was created to ensure that archives and records were properly looked after and preserved for posterity and that all those working hard on this task received the proper training and support to do so. Recognising the sector is going through a period of intense change, it has commissioned Trident Manor to develop new security guidance to support our members. A part of that process is understanding what the needs and concerns are of the membership. The best way to receive that information from as wide an audience as possible is through the use of a survey.

Information supplied will not be shared with other third parties outside those directly involved in this project (The ARA, Trident Manor Limited, and Mailchimp, as the survey platform). Settings within the Mailchimp programme have been set to ensure anonymity is maintained unless waivered by the respondent.

The survey has been broken into four sections to enable a more detailed analysis to be undertaken. These sections include:

1. About your Organisation

2. Security Concerns

3. Security Awareness and Support

4. Protective Operational Practices

The information that you provide will help plan future work to support you.

We estimate this will take between 20-30 minutes to complete.

Completed surveys are to be submitted no later than 21st July 2023
