Workforce Mapping is here!

Workforce Mapping is here!

Please complete the workforce mapping survey here:

https://eu.research.net/r/workforcesurveyARA

And pass this on to all your colleagues and contacts in the sector.

We really need your help to ensure that the recordkeeping sector is represented. We’re asking all ARA members to complete the survey whether employed, self-employed, unemployed or volunteering. We’d also like you to please circulate the survey to staff and colleagues to ensure all voices are heard. The data gathered will help us identify key drivers of change in the workplace and to advocate more effectively on behalf of our members and the recordkeeping sector.

In Autumn 2021, The Archives & Records Association and CILIP jointly convened a Workforce Data Consortium (see this news item for a full list of partners) to fund and oversee a workforce mapping survey of the library, archives, records, information and knowledge sector. This will help ensure that the survey will provide data representing the wider library, archives, records, information and knowledge sector, as well as our own record-keeping sector within it. Many initiatives, such as the ambition to diversify the workforce, the introduction of Apprenticeships or the process of ‘digital upskilling’ depend on cross-industry data.

This survey also builds on the previous Workforce Mapping carried out in 2015 by CILIP and ARA. Earlier this year the Local Government Association was appointed to carry out the survey.

Please do fill in the survey and help us to help everyone in the sector through more effective advocacy based on solid data.
