Changes to data protection and privacy legislation

Trainer: Sue White, Naomi Korn Associates

Online - Monday 12th May 2025 - 12.00 to 13.00pm

Up until the 2024 snap General Election, data protection professionals had been primed and ready to implement several changes impending being proposed by the Data Protection and Digital Information (DPDI) Bill.  However, the Bill was not passed in time for the election and subsequently fell, but in October 2024, the Data (Use and Access) Bill was introduced.

Join us for an insightful session where we delve into some of the changes proposed by the new Bill and consider how these might affect data subjects, organisations and data protection professionals.  Our presenter will select some of the relevant and interesting changes proposed by the new Bill, as it progresses through Parliament, and highlight how these might impact upon data protection practices and considerations.

  • Consider how these changes, if implemented, may impact upon data subjects, organisations and data protection professionals.
