How to safely pack Museum Objects - Part 2

One of a series of workshops by the Section for Archives and Museums looking at working with objects.

This practical demonstration video was made by Anita Hollinshead (Twitter: @hollinsheada) for a training workshop organised by the Section for Archives and Museums: Handling, packing and storing small and medium sized object collections on 20th November 2020. The workshop explored how to minimise the risk of damaging collections and of injuring staff, volunteers and visitors through safe object handling, packing, moving and storage. In this video, Anita demonstrates how to pack objects safely including making and using tissue puffs to protect objects inside their containers or to help them hold their shape.
