Training colleagues within your archive team and wider organisation is critical to maximise the efficacy of a plan in a real fire or flood situation. However good the plan might be on paper, lack of familiarity in its content will cause problems upon implementation. Harwell participates in hundreds of recovery operations for records annually, whilst also providing training in multiple heritage settings annually on how to implement emergency plans effectively. Using insights from this unique perspective, including case studies, this presentation will look at strategies for training a team in the plan’s content and test its efficacy for implementation.
The presentation includes a Q&A session.
