ARA Northern Region are keen to recruit a new Treasurer and Communications Officer
The ARA’s Northern Region is looking to recruit keen and enthusiastic volunteers to take on the roles of the Region’s Treasurer and Communications Officer.
Treasurer role

Role and Responsibilities
To manage all aspects of the Group’s budget and financial control in conjunction with the Chair:
Submit an annual budget proposal to the ARA Honorary Treasurer.
Budget reports for the AGM and committee meetings.
Monitor expenditure, process invoices, orders and contracts and sign off legitimate officer expenses.
Work with the CEO and ARA office to secure sponsorship for events.
Maintain good communication with other officers, attend meetings and join in on national or regional events and activities.
Communications Officer role
The officer is responsible for –
Creating content for ARA communications such as ARA today and the ARA website.
Attending ARA Forum meetings when required.
Attending committee meetings and reporting on activities.
This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to:
Develop social media, outreach, editing, content creation, website building, written communication, and presentation skills.
Network and make links with peers across the sector, and in other organisations.
Contribute to all aspects of the Northern region activities and development, impacting on the wider sector.
Develop skills relevant to ARA’s Competency Framework, to use as evidence on the Professional Development Programme.
